Message to Prospective Fraternity Men
As a student at the University, there are a wealth of opportunities with which you may enrich your experience. As you seek your niche at UConn, we encourage you to consider the IFC fraternity system, beginning with recruitment (rush) in the Fal 2007 semester. Greek men are everywhere around campus--they are student leaders, athletes, and scholars. The very diversity of our extracurricular and academic involvement is a testament to the comprehensive nature of our system; within IFC fraternities, there is a place for every man at the University. Each of our 12 chapters is unique, and we urge you to explore them all. IFC fraternity rush is non-binding and is a memorable endeavor in and of itself. The many benefits offered by this event, both tangible and intangible, make it one of the most worthwhile opportunities presented to you during your time here. Having the chance to meet new people, both fellow rushees and fraternity men, while enjoying social events, trips, and activities, makes fraternity rush a remarkable experience. We are honored to have you on campus and hope that you will make the most of your time here. Fraternities have been a source of leadership, brotherhood, and revelry at UConn over 75 years, and we invite you to help build upon their legacy. Please enjoy all the resources available on this website, including rush dates, rules, FAQs, chapter information, and online registration. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing many of you out for IFC rush! Sincerely, Jon Ficara |
